Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Urbana, Illinois
Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care across various inpatient units. Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and implementing plans of care, modifying care plans based on ongoing evaluation, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role involves floating to units such as Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as needed. Additional duties include precepting staff and participating in unit nurse leader training when required.

Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience, including at least 1 year of trauma experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Must be able to work across multiple inpatient units
- Responsible for patient and employee safety, including reporting and correcting hazards
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback
