Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Little River, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Collaborate with staff to develop professional skills, new programs, and patient treatment plans as needed.
• Perform treatments as ordered in a safe and timely manner, involving staff and family members when appropriate.
• Document medical records in accordance with APTA standards of care.
• Participate in services, meetings, and educational sessions.
• Assist in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in caseload.
• Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy using specialized testing procedures and assess strength, range of motion, coordination, sensation, ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care directed toward short- and long-term goals.
• Supervise treatment team operations and regularly meet with PTAs to discuss patient progress and goals.
• Provide evidence-based care and seek out research to support interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and facility operations at all times.
• Adhere to all facility and corporate policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
