Registered Nurse - GI

Job Summary

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care in the GI Lab according to unit policies and procedures.
• Direct coworkers in the implementation of the care plan.
• Collect, analyze, and organize patient care data.
• Apply technical skills and experience to assess patient status and needs.
• Perform diagnostic techniques/tests to monitor patient condition.
• Implement a plan of care including traditional and complementary therapies.
• Instruct and observe patients and significant others in self-care and understanding of care instructions.
• Incorporate physician and ancillary caregiver instructions into patient care.
• Provide ongoing evaluation of patient response and revise care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of patient status and care provided.
• Complete documentation, teaching, discharge planning, and outcome notes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Montana.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of gastroenterology nursing experience.
• Gastroenterology experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Medical-surgical nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in endoscopy.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (89 days rounded to weeks).
