Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Delta, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room.
Triage patients and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow.
Manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Perform patient care tasks including moving patients, taking blood samples, cleaning and bandaging wounds, administering medications, and maintaining supplies.
Conduct focused assessments of chief complaints promptly according to established triage guidelines.
Deliver patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, functioning within the Nurse Practice Act.

Required Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the State of Colorado.
At least 2 years of experience in critical care nursing preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required upon hire.
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 6 months; ENPC preferred.
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required upon hire or within 1 year.
Specialty certification in emergency nursing preferred.
