Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is culturally based and age-specific, following the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
The position is in a fast-paced Emergency Department specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine. The unit has a high-acuity patient population and an all-RN nursing staff, requiring excellent critical thinking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
