Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Hospice)

Location: Westover, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide hospice nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes or nursing facilities.
  • Patient diagnoses commonly include cancer, heart disease, lung disease, dementia, and other end-stage illnesses.
  • Typical workload: 5-6 patient visits per 8-hour shift.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Occasional on-call duties may be required.
  • Service areas include Monongalia and Marion counties.
  • Use of EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • No weekend or holiday work required.
  • Uniform: Royal Blue scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Current West Virginia RN license.
  • Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Additional Information

  • Orientation includes training on EPIC and shadowing with another provider.
  • Care is provided in both outpatient and inpatient hospice settings.
