Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Hospice)
Location: Westover, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide hospice nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes or nursing facilities.
- Patient diagnoses commonly include cancer, heart disease, lung disease, dementia, and other end-stage illnesses.
- Typical workload: 5-6 patient visits per 8-hour shift.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Occasional on-call duties may be required.
- Service areas include Monongalia and Marion counties.
- Use of EPIC electronic medical records system.
- No weekend or holiday work required.
- Uniform: Royal Blue scrubs.
Required Qualifications
- Current West Virginia RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Additional Information
- Orientation includes training on EPIC and shadowing with another provider.
- Care is provided in both outpatient and inpatient hospice settings.
