Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Hospice)

Location: Westover, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide hospice nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes or nursing facilities.
Patient diagnoses commonly include cancer, heart disease, lung disease, dementia, and other end-stage illnesses.
Typical workload: 5-6 patient visits per 8-hour shift.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Occasional on-call duties may be required.
Service areas include Monongalia and Marion counties.
Use of EPIC electronic medical records system.
No weekend or holiday work required.
Uniform: Royal Blue scrubs.

Required Qualifications

Current West Virginia RN license.
Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Additional Information

Orientation includes training on EPIC and shadowing with another provider.
Care is provided in both outpatient and inpatient hospice settings.
