Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Longview, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) level care, managing patient flow with nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:5 at peak times.
• Weekend scheduling is every other weekend (EOW).
• Local assignment with same pay for first-time travelers allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Intermediate Care (IMC)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Skills in ICU and IMC level care

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I-9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID required during work hours.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG.
• Education verification as requested.
• NURSYS verification for RN license.
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening (9-panel) within one year of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination documentation (collected upon client request).
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions.
• Skills checklist updated annually.

• This is a travel contract position in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH) setting.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
