Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Department

Location: Plainfield, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description

• Float to all 4 free-standing sites during the contract: Avon, Castleton, Plainfield, and Indy South.
• May also float to Adult Emergency Department at the main campus.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• ED experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted.
• Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
• Influenza vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted but mask required at all times.
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• TB Screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Fit Test: Required annually; preferred before start, can be completed onsite.

Background and Verification Requirements

• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start; updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Employment verification for past 7 years; updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start; updated after breaks in service.
• Professional references: At least two required prior to first assignment.
• Driver’s license or state ID: Must be current and match address on file.

Additional Information

• Signed assignment agreement required before onboarding.
• Completion of onboarding requirements including nursing contract worker onboarding done onsite.
• Badge photo required (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
• Optional: Unit-specific checklist and exit survey.
