Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in an acute care unit with 34 beds
Patient population includes geriatric, adults, and occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
Patient ratio approximately 6:1
Unit cares for telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients
Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, tele monitors
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM, occasional weekends required (same shift hours)
Call required only when down staffed or placed on call
Float requirements: may be asked to care for inpatient holds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Additional Information

Dress code: scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required
Must be able to work occasional weekends and float as needed

This position is suitable for RNs with Med Surg experience seeking a travel assignment in an acute care setting.
