Position Overview

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide care for both adult and pediatric patients. The role requires experience in critical care and emergency department settings.

Schedule

• 3 shifts of 12 hours each (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other week
• Option for 4 shifts of 12 hours may be available upon request
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Call-off policy allows 1 shift off per 2 weeks
• Floating within skillset required

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
• Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Experience

• Experience working with adult and pediatric patients
• Aerosol and medication delivery systems experience
• Oral and nasal airway placement experience
• Tracheostomy care experience
• Mechanical ventilation experience, including nitric oxide delivery
• Non-invasive ventilation experience
• Experience with Servo I and V60 ventilators
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• I-9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address meeting radius criteria
• E-Verify or attestation
• Background check covering 7 years of history, including education verification and various federal/state checks
• Transcript or diploma verifying highest earned medical degree
• Physical exam within 1 year, free from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or signed declination form during flu season
• Two clinical references required
• Completed employment application/resume
• Annual skills checklist update

Additional Notes

• EPIC charting experience required
• Locals not accepted due to radius rule
• Must be willing to float within skillset
• Professional photo required for badge
• Orientation and compliance paperwork must be completed prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with prior travel contract experience looking to work in a critical care environment with both adult and pediatric patients.
