Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide care in Labor and Delivery during night shifts
- Perform fetal monitoring (basic and intermediate levels)
- Manage medication titrations including oxytocin and magnesium
- Conduct cervical dilation checks
- Manage labor and assist with cesarean section as RN circulator
- Provide PACU recovery care for cesarean section patients
- Manage peripheral lines and isolation precautions with appropriate PPE
- Document care using computerized systems (EPIC)
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
- Participate in rapid response team activation
- Provide coverage every other weekend
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Intermediate fetal monitoring skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Notes
- Scrubs are provided
- Computerized documentation experience (EPIC) is required
- Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:1 or 1:2
- Rapid response team participation expected
