Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse for an advanced procedural Endoscopy unit. This is a travel/contract position with floating between units based on needs and skills.
Work Details
- Unit: Intra-procedural Endoscopy only (no pre-op or recovery)
- Patient Acuity: Generally ASA 3 or higher
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Floating: Required; may float to other units and facilities within reasonable distance
- On-Call: Yes, 1830-0600, two days per month
- Weekends: Not required
- Block Schedules: Not required
- Vehicle: Must have a vehicle for assignment
- Facilities Covered: Multiple locations within the region (floating may include travel incentives and hotel accommodations for consecutive shifts)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete required facility and regional training modules annually via LMS platform
- Must comply with floating policy acknowledgment
- Must complete Epic electronic health record training modules as assigned
- Must have current and valid photo ID and driver’s license
- Must be able to pass all required background and health screenings prior to start
Work Environment
- Short Term Acute Care facility setting
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Any color allowed in this unit
- Parking: No fee
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position (first-time travelers are welcome)
- Floating to other units and facilities is expected and may include incentives and accommodations
- On-call shifts are limited to two per month during evening/night hours
