Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Radiology Aide (Nights)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position is for an aide in the Radiology Department, specifically MRI.
• Will work alongside MRI Techs and other MRI Aides; never solo.
• Shift type: Night shifts only.
• Block scheduling and 10/12 hour shifts will NOT be considered.
• Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
• After midnight coverage is by call.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year.
• Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience.
• Experience with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI equipment required.
• MRI Technologist experience.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Must provide:

  • Work history relevant to Magnetic Resonance Imaging/MRI (within the past year).
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
• Must include permanent address in profile (travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered).

Additional Information

• Approximately 9 patients per shift.
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable.
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply.
• Facility is a teaching hospital with a strong focus on patient safety and a full continuum of medical specialties.
• Scheduling requests after offer may lead to rescinded offers.
