Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Position for 2 ICU Registered Nurses, with duties also covering PCU/Stepdown units.
• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM - 7 AM).
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIHSS certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season.
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date.

Additional Compliance Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• E-Verify documentation.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history.
• Education verification (highest degree).
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam.
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/medication.
• State license primary source verification.
• NURSYS verification for RN license.
• Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements.

Experience

• No explicit years of ICU experience required stated; first-time travelers accepted.
• No prior travel experience required.

Notes

• Locals within 50 miles may be accepted at a different pay rate (not included here).
• Candidates must bring certain completed facility-specific packets to orientation.
• Additional drug screening may be conducted onsite.
