Registered Nurse - Rehab

Location: Northport, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a rehabilitation setting, working with patients recovering from stroke, hip fracture, pulmonary conditions, and other rehab needs.
• Participate as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on improving patients' functional ability and independence.
• Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring and care, with daily provider rounds.
• Use advanced therapy equipment such as body weight support systems, treadmills, reaction time and visual processing devices, and simulation vehicles for patient recovery.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Work schedule includes 36 hours per week, holidays as required, and every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
