Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a 2-suite cath lab performing cardiac and interventional radiology procedures (no electrophysiology cases).
• Average of 6 cases per day.
• Common patient types: coronary, interventional radiology (IR), and vascular procedures.

Schedule & Call

• Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call:

  • Monday to Thursday evenings/nights (5:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
  • Every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday all day)
  • Holidays as needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• On-call coverage includes STEMI divert days (~10 days/month) and IR call coverage (~10 days/month with 1 IR provider)

Job Duties

• Scrub, monitor, and circulate cases
• Provide occasional 1:1 sitter assistance as needed

Required Experience & Skills

• Scrubbing experience
• General x-ray knowledge (pan/general)
• Knowledge of interventional radiology and cardiac cases

Equipment & EMR

• Cerner and Merge systems

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS preferred

Orientation & Training

• Department-specific orientation starting day 1, to be completed within the first week
• Orientation binder to be checked off

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided (light blue)
• Clinicians must clock in/out at the facility
• Prior work at this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying

Required Qualifications

• Valid license and certification as a Cath Lab Technologist
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with cardiac and IR procedures as described

Notes for Applicants

• Position involves cardiac and interventional radiology procedures in a 2-room cath lab.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage required.
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes.
