Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology

Location: Beckley, West Virginia

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide echocardiology ultrasound services in a hospital setting serving all age groups.
• Perform pediatric echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and carotid ultrasounds independently.
• Work primarily day shift with call responsibilities.
• Call requirements include approximately 10 days per month during evenings and weekends.
• Facility offers a wide range of surgical services and treats a large patient population annually.

Work Schedule

• Dayshift with call
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: 8-12 hour shifts on call

Required Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification (ARDMS certification required)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in pediatric echocardiography
• Experience performing transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Experience performing carotid ultrasounds
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Must hold certification/licensure required to work as an Echo Tech in West Virginia
• Ability to work independently and perform pediatric echos, TEE, and carotids

Additional Information

• Facility has approximately 300 beds
• Equipment used includes Canon Ultrasound and PHILLIPS machines
• Electronic Health Records systems: Meditech, Fuji PACS, Synapse
• Professional dress code: Royal Blue or Red scrubs; no T-shirts or hoodies allowed
