Location: Marianna, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join a small community hospital with approximately 100 licensed beds. The facility is non-trauma and offers a variety of imaging services including Radiology, MRI, CT, Mammography (including DEXA), Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shifts: 8-hour shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am)
• Weekend coverage handled by a separate contract crew
• Holiday work expected as part of permanent staff rotation unless holiday falls on a weekend
• Call requirements for X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine with a 30-minute response time; no call for CT (24/7 coverage)
• Radiologist on-site Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm; after hours images read remotely
• Scrubs: Traditional style scrubs only (no joggers or athletic styles)
• Orientation: 1 day general orientation plus 2-3 days floor-specific orientation depending on experience
• Parking available near ER, free for staff
• Cafeteria open 7am-6pm with quality food options

Imaging Volumes (Approximate Monthly)

• X-Ray: 1500-1700
• MRI: 100-120
• CT: 600
• Ultrasound: 300
• Mammography: 250
• Nuclear Medicine: 150

Staffing

• X-Ray Techs: 4 day, 1 evening, 1 night
• MRI Techs: 2
• CT Techs: 1
• Ultrasound Techs: 3
• Mammography Techs: 2
• Nuclear Medicine Techs: 1

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (more experience preferred)
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to start IVs if required for imaging procedures
• Certifications:

  • ARRT certification required for X-Ray Techs
  • BLS Certification required
  • Florida State Licensure required
• Specialty-specific certifications depending on modality:

  • MRI: ARRT (MRI)
  • CT: ARRT (CT)
  • Ultrasound: ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT in Ultrasound (no specific body part certification required)
  • Mammography: ARRT (Mammo); cross-training in DEXA provided if no DEXA experience (DEXA certification not required)
  • Nuclear Medicine: ARRT or NMTCB

Technology & Equipment

• EMR system: CPSI - Evident Thrive (preferred but not required prior experience)
• PACS: NovaRAD South & NovaPACS
• IV pumps: Baxter Sigma
• Cardiac monitors: Neon Kohden
• Medication dispensing: Omnicell

• Travelers receive a pre-orientation packet with policies and procedures
• Clocking in/out via hospital system required; supervisors sign time cards
