Job Opportunity: CVOR Surgical Technologist (Open Heart) - Day Shift

Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• BLS certification required; CST preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of current or very recent Open-Heart surgical technology experience required.
• Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation are essential.
• The Surgical Technologist will float/assist in General Surgery when Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) volumes are low.
• Work schedule: 40 hours per week, with the option of either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), based on preference.
• On-call requirement: at least 2-3 days of call per week, including weekend call starting Friday at shift end through Monday morning at 7:00 AM. Possible holiday call rotation depending on holiday schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Open-Heart surgical technology experience.

Additional Information

• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract.
• Call and scheduling details must be strictly followed as per contract terms.
• All requested time off must be disclosed at submission and included in the confirmation to be honored.

Notes for Candidates

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Flexibility to assist in general surgery cases when CVOR volume is low is expected.
