Description
Occupational Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Responsible for patient evaluation, development, and follow-through of treatment plans
- Experience in outpatient hand therapy required
- Experience working with post-operative hand surgeries and splinting required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon
- NBCOT certification
- Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an outpatient setting
Required Documents & Compliance
- Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
- Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
- Physical exam within one year of start
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella antibody titers or vaccinations
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series or declination
- Varicella antibody titer or vaccination or declination
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccination or signed declination required year-round
Additional Notes
- Badge photo required at least 8 days prior to start (white background)
- Fit mask testing to be completed onsite within the first week of starting
- Competency exams and required training modules must be completed by the due date
- Two professional references required, including at least one supervisory reference within the last 12 months
Specialty Experience Requirement
- Minimum clinical experience in occupational therapy with emphasis on outpatient hand therapy and post-op hand surgery care
Prior Travel Experience
- No explicit prior travel experience required
