Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Infusion Registered Nurse
Location: Jacksonville, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Outpatient)
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- First-time Travelers: Not accepted
- Local Candidates: Accepted, no radius restrictions
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Schedule Flexibility: Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
- Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Verification of technical certification at the national level
- Acknowledgement of Orientation Safety Manual
- State License 1 Verification
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- Fingerprinting and Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry results required if no Illinois license
- Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
- Professional references (2) required for travel and acute care clinical candidates
- Photo for badge within one week of contract signing
Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours may be subject to client call-offs up to a certain limit without pay
- Fit mask testing required for new contracts (specific mask types accepted)
- Candidate must review and sign code of conduct and other facility-specific documents within 7 days of contract signing
This position is ideal for experienced outpatient infusion RNs with at least one year of specialty experience who hold an active Illinois RN license and are seeking a travel contract in a critical access, magnet-recognized hospital setting.
