Registered Nurse (LTC/SNF)

Location: Garrison, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Facility Type: Long Term Care (LTC)
• Unit Size: 26 beds/residents
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other major holiday
• Scheduling: No blocked schedule, no self-scheduling
• Orientation: 2-3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation
• Call/Standby: None
• Floating: None
• Dress Code: No specific scrub color; must be clean and presentable

Patient Population & Care

• Common diagnoses: Heart disease, diabetes, dementia
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:10 on day shift, 1:19 on night shift
• No IVs or titratable drips
• No telemetry monitors or RN strip reading
• Oxygen therapy available via concentrators and portable concentrators
• Pharmacy is off-site with medication dispensing system
• No on-site respiratory therapist
• Interdisciplinary team includes PT as needed and social worker designee
• No rehab beds, strictly LTC

Job Duties

• Act as charge nurse
• Pass medications
• Perform wound care

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Certification required
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) required

Additional Information

• Physician available by phone on-call after hours
• No clinical involvement beyond nursing duties described
• Radius rule: Candidates must be within 50 miles and not currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with certain affiliated facilities
• Return to office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start
