Registered Nurse (Med Surg)
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Ortho/Surgery Post-op
- Shift: AM (Starts at 6:45 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Unit Beds: 30
- EMR System: Cerner
- Float Requirements: As needed
Required Certifications
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA NIH Stroke Scale
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Patient Population
- Surgical patients
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Navy color
- No long nails, gel nails, wrapped nails, dipped nails, or any fake nails allowed
