Job Opportunity: RN Charge/Supervisor - Nursing Administration
Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
This role is for a Nurse Manager (RN) responsible for planning, leading, and managing nursing staff to deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. The position requires independent functioning with accountability for 24-hour management of patient care delivery on the unit.
Work Schedule
- Typically Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM
- May require being onsite outside these hours for business needs
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Travelers may be required to float within their competency level and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff including interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, evaluating, and guiding professional growth
- Organize, plan, staff, direct, coordinate, empower, and market patient care services
- Maintain positive relationships with physicians, community, and hospital staff
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and accreditation requirements
- Support evidence-based nursing practice and critical thinking to provide safe patient care
- Act as a change agent and transitional leader to motivate staff and foster a learning organization
- Manage operational performance including budget and quality goals
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in Manager roles demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Administrative experience
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience

- Call requirements to be discussed during the interview
- The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts with 48 hours’ notice for low census without penalty
