Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology)
  • Shift: Rotating 5x8 hour shifts and 4x10 hour shifts
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of specialty experience
  • First-time Travelers: Accepted
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • License Requirement: Must have an active Illinois RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
  • Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days off
  • Guaranteed Hours: Subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) may be required based on unit/specialty

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid/current US Driver’s License or State ID
  • Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace, national criminal, sex offender, and other federal/state checks
  • Education verification (degree/transcript)
  • State-specific criminal and offender registry searches within 30 days of start
  • Fingerprinting through Illinois Health Care Worker Registry (must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start)
  • Competency exam required for clinical candidates
  • Photo for badge (color, plain background)
  • Signed code of conduct and other facility-specific documents
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs and clearance to perform job functions
  • Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Immunization or documented immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
  • References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates
  • Skills checklist required for clinical candidates

Additional Notes

  • Candidates may be asked about block scheduling during interview
  • Parking permit form and badge name confirmation required within 7 days of contract signing
  • Facility accommodates latex allergies
  • Some requirements and documentation are not applicable for non-clinical or remote candidates
