Radiation Therapist Travel Job – Richmond, Virginia

Unit Information

• Treat approximately 45-55 patients per day on 2 linear accelerators
• Patient ratio: 2 radiation therapists per machine
• Unit staffing includes therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, RNs, dietitian, social worker, and director
• Equipment: 2 TrueBeam linear accelerators, GE CT Simulator, Elekta HDR
• Documentation system: ARIA
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:30 AM to 4:00-4:30 PM
• No floating policy
• Patient experience scores around 95% (Press Ganey)
• Accredited by ACR, Commission on Cancer, and NAPBC

Required Skills and Experience

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Virginia
• Minimum 3 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including at least 2 years in Radiology specialty
• Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• Minimum 3 years of TrueBeam experience
• Experience with Align RT (Vision RT) surface guidance system
• Experience with ARIA documentation system
• Advanced skills in:

  • DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold) procedures
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (T) Certification (Radiation Therapist)
  • AART Certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
  • USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk
