Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Salem, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Number of OR Suites: 2
Staffing: 6 total (3 RNs, 3 CSTs)
Shift: Day shift only
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Dress Code: Light blue scrubs (provided)
Floating Areas: Operating Room (OR)
Call Requirements: Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Thoracotomy
Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (Endo AAA) repair
Valve Replacement
Pacemaker implantation

Required Qualifications

Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience required
