Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics. First-time travelers are accepted. The position requires working every third weekend and includes floating within scope to meet facility needs. Pending licenses are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Extubation experience
• Oropharyngeal suctioning experience
• Aerosol setup and tracheostomy care experience
• Ultrasonic nebulizer experience
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) therapy experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
• Floating: Yes, within scope
• Locals: Not accepted within 75 miles radius
• On-call: Not specified
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: No more than 7 days

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest related degree
• Various state-specific background checks and registries as applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing annually (N95 respirators)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
  • Drug testing within 1 year, including multiple substances
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance training modules
• Professional references (two required)

• Short Term Acute Care Hospital
• Teaching hospital with Level Trauma designation
• Approximately 1259 staffed beds

• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Must adhere to facility policies including dress code, hand hygiene, and safety protocols
• Parking fees may apply depending on shift schedule
