Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Travel)

Location: Morristown, New Jersey

Job Description

• Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care in support of patient care delivery and team collaboration.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities, including adherence to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
• Understand conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients in the Cath Lab.
• Individualize patient care according to procedure type and anesthesia across the continuum of care.
• Assess patient understanding and reactions to procedures and instructions.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders relevant to surgery and patient health status.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for New Jersey.
• Competent clinical nursing skills in Cath Lab or related surgical/perioperative environment.
• Experience with patient assessment, documentation, and patient education.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Experience

• Specialty experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab RN (defaulting to higher experience if conflicting data).
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to meet physical demands as defined by occupational safety standards.
