Cardiovascular Technologist

Location: Morristown, New Jersey

Job Description

• Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Able to scrub in diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral procedures.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients during procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Function in all roles: case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant.
• Report clinical changes in patient condition to RN or physician.
• May perform point of care testing per CLIA guidelines.
• Document all procedures accurately, including labeling studies, recording procedure information in medical records, and entering charges.
• Report equipment malfunctions, assist others, complete special assignments, clean work area, and replenish supplies.
• Maintain all standards of sterile procedures and infection prevention.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cardiovascular Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Demonstrated cardiovascular technologist technical skills, including knowledge of catheters, wires, and stents
• Ability to take STEMI on call
