Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab RN
Location: Albany, Georgia
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to circulate and take call in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab environment. The role involves working in a diagnostic and interventional lab with quick patient turnover.
Work Details
- Circulate during procedures; Techs scrub and monitor
- Average 15-20 cases per day
- Call required 1-2 days per week and every 4th weekend
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Rotating day off and a 4-day weekend every 5th weekend
- Floor-specific orientation: 1-2 weeks
- No floating between units
- Professional solid scrub colors provided
- IR experience preferred but not required
- Balloon pump experience required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab specialty
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnover
- Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
Additional Notes
- 4 procedure rooms: 2 cath, 1 interventional radiology (IR), 1 electrophysiology (EP)
- EMR systems used include Meditech and GE MacLabs
- Weekend and holiday call coverage rotates with staff
- Must comply with a 75-mile radius rule for travel assignment eligibility
