Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Start Date: ASAP, any Monday
Shift: 4x10 hour days, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Call: About one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks


Job Description

  • Experienced in both Cath Lab and Angio with scrub experience required.
  • Must be willing to float within the site and across the system; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation.
  • Travelers are required to complete any assigned education within one week of assignment.
  • Low census mandatory cancellation terms apply (must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; one mandatory cancellation allowed per two-week pay period without penalty).

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
  • Oregon State License (OBMI)

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Cath Lab and Angiography with scrub skills.
  • Must have the required certifications listed above.
  • Must be willing to float as requested.
  • Criminal background check required (7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide sex offender, county, federal, FACIS L3, and international if applicable).
  • Copy of diploma required.
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start.
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year prior to start.
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap.
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
  • Flu vaccine or signed declination required annually.
  • COVID vaccine documentation or declination required.
  • Respirator medical clearance required annually unless no patient interaction.
  • Two professional references required (supervisory or above, within 3 years).

Work Environment

  • Acute Care Hospital setting.
  • Teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation.
  • Charting system: Epic.
  • Free parking in unrestricted spaces.
  • Scrub color guidelines apply depending on unit.

Additional Notes

  • Local travelers are accepted.
  • Floating is mandatory within the site and system.
  • Education and compliance requirements must be met promptly.
  • Background checks and credential verifications are strictly enforced.

This position is ideal for Cath Lab Technologists with solid experience in angiography and scrub skills, who are flexible and able to work in a dynamic hospital environment.
