Registered Nurse - Clinic
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
The Clinic RN provides comprehensive clinical nursing care including:
- Patient assessments
- Administering medications and treatments per provider orders
- Triage patient communications
- Delivering interventions aligned with individualized care plans
- Collaborating with providers and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and review participant-centered care plans
- Coordinating participant care by communicating changes in condition and supporting smooth transitions post-visit
- Educating participants, families, and caregivers on chronic disease management
- Reviewing provider documentation to reconcile orders, medication changes, and follow-up needs
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 3 years of recent hospital nursing or other acute care experience (home health and/or clinic experience preferred)
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado, maintained throughout employment
- Ability to set priorities, manage competing demands, and consistently follow through
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in stressful situations
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work from the office while performing telephone-based triage duties
