Radiation Therapist - Wisconsin (Ashland)

Job Details

• Location: Ashland, Wisconsin
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
• Call/Standby: None
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs (must supply own)
• Orientation: Onsite, includes 2-3 days of cross coverage with other therapists

Department & Equipment

• 1 Linear accelerator and 1 CT scanner
• Equipment includes Siemens systems
• EMR/PACS systems used: Epic, Aria, PACS
• No floating or coverage of other areas required
• No radiologist on site; Radiation Oncologist available
• No RRA usage
• IV starts not required but considered a benefit

Job Duties & Procedures

• Perform IMRT, SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy), SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
• Respiratory Gating and Surface Tracking (preferred experience)
• Radiation Therapists perform their own CT simulations
• Average of 15 scans/studies per day

Required Qualifications

• Must have ARRT certification for Radiation Therapist
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a permanent Radiation Therapist position (higher experience requirement applies)
• Experience with Varian equipment and TruBeam required
• Must have SBRT and SRS experience
• Respiratory Gating and Surface Tracking experience preferred but not mandatory
• First-time travelers are acceptable (prior travel experience not required)
