Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Split work setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient
• Willing to train new graduates or less experienced therapists
• Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
• No weekends or holidays required
• Inpatient productivity expectation: 65%
• Outpatient expectation: 8 patients per day, with 1-hour treatment slots
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius considered
• No specific scrub color required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of physical therapy experience in an acute care hospital setting

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, government-issued photo ID)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and federal exclusions
• Education verification (diploma/transcript for highest degree)
• Drug screening (9-panel within 1 year)
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Physical exam within last 12 months
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • Vaccinations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (mask required if exempt)
• Certifications as applicable (BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as required by unit)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel allied positions
• Completion of orientation and facility-specific paperwork

• No prior travel contract experience required
• Orientation and onboarding include testing and documentation submission
• Candidates must carry photo ID during working hours
• Flu season protocols and exemptions strictly enforced
