Occupational Therapist Travel Job - North Carolina

Job Description

• Work in acute care and extended living center (ELC) settings.
• Provide physical therapy evaluations, establish plans of care, assist with rounds and care conferences.
• Frequent communication with rehab team regarding patient progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning.
• Treatment provided in patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and rehab gym.
• Floating between acute/swing beds, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week (schedule to be reviewed during interview).

Unit Information

• Rehab Services unit with 24 acute/swing beds, 40 nursing home beds, and 10 skilled beds within nursing home.
• Typical rehab equipment available.
• Documentation systems: Cerner and NetHealth.
• Dress code: Business casual or scrubs.
• Collaborative team environment focused on best patient care.
• Stroke certified hospital with a rehab focus.
• Nursing home facility is 5-star rated.
• Access to current rehab gym and nursing home gym; new rehab gym and outdoor gym planned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina
• Occupational Therapist (OTR) with 3 years of experience
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist within the last year
• BLS certification
• Experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings, including Long Term Care
