Description

Job Opportunity: RN ICU

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Every other weekend
  • No on-call required
  • Uniform: Ceil blue scrubs
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner OneChart

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kansas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience, including at least 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Onboarding & Testing Requirements

  • Completion of Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
  • Specialty competency exam with minimum 80% passing score (updated every 3 years)
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
  • EKG exam with minimum 80% passing score (updated every 3 years)
  • Unit-specific checklist (optional for onboarding)
  • Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite
  • Pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip and CPI/MOAB High Risk Online Portion (non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation training)
  • CPI/MOAB High Risk On-Site Portion to be completed at orientation (optional)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Varicella immunity proof or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual questionnaire
  • Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
  • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter

Documentation & Verification

  • Professional resume/profile required for submission
  • At least two professional references required prior to first assignment
  • Criminal background check including SSN trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and other checks within 30 days of assignment start; updated annually or after breaks in service
  • Employment verification for past seven years; updated annually or after breaks in service
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start; updated after breaks in service
  • Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and match address on file)
  • Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

  • All required verifications and certifications must be current and completed within specified timeframes prior to assignment start
  • Some onboarding and competency requirements must be updated every 1-3 years depending on the credential
  • No prior travel experience explicitly required for this assignment
