Radiation Therapist - Idaho (Nampa Area)

Job Details

  • Location: Nampa, Idaho (may float to other locations within the Treasure Valley area including Boise, Meridian, Fruitland)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
  • Typical Treatment Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
  • Call or Standby: None
  • Dress Code: Clean, neat scrubs of any color or appropriate pattern, or business casual
  • Orientation: Department-specific orientation, usually 1 shift per site depending on floating expectations

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate linear accelerators and CT simulators for radiation therapy treatments
  • Perform treatments including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, SRT/SRS
  • Occasionally perform CT simulation
  • Use ARIA (EMR system) to record and verify treatments
  • May be required to float between multiple sites within the Treasure Valley area as needed
  • Work alongside radiation oncologists and midlevel providers
  • Lead or supervisor available on each shift (may assist with treatments if needed)

Equipment & Systems

  • Linear Accelerators: Varian True Beam (required), Trilogy (preferred/required at some sites)
  • CT Simulators at multiple sites
  • EMR Systems: ARIA (required), Epic (preferred)
  • Equipment brands include Varian, Siemens, Toshiba

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Radiation Therapy
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • BLS certification
  • Must have Varian True Beam experience for Treasure Valley sites
  • Proficiency with ARIA EMR system
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
  • IV start experience preferred but not mandatory

  • No float pool; floating is based on staffing needs across multiple sites
  • Average number of scans/studies per day ranges from 20-40 depending on site
  • No weekend, holiday, or call requirements
  • Manager interviews candidates as part of clinical pre-screening
