Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU Nights

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Unit Size: 16 beds
• Travel Radius: 50 miles local radius (local candidates not accepted)

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with CVICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification

Required Licenses

• Primary source verification required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background check (7 years, updated annually)
• Education verification (highest level)
• Drug screening (negative 10-panel within 90 days)
• Physical exam within 12 months
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)

Notes

• This position does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
• Fingerprinting must be completed for every new contract and clearance is required before working on the unit.
• Candidates can attend orientation and training pending fingerprint clearance.
