Job Opportunity: Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pre-testing for pediatric patients.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care and Pre Testing.
  • No on-call shifts.
  • Missed shifts due to call outs must be made up at the end of the contract; extra days will be added.
  • Clearance required prior to the first day of assignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care (PACU), including experience within the last year.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric pre-testing.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA):
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Chemotherapy certification (if applicable to unit).
