Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Registered Nurse)

Location: Harrison, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Call: Not required
Floating: As needed within scope

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• First-time travelers: Accepted
• Locals allowed: No
• Radius restriction: 50 miles
• EMR System: Meditech
• Block scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, and Nursery
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA required for ICU units caring for pediatric patients

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid Registered Nurse license for Arkansas
• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background check: 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• NURSYS verification (for all RNs)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
• Annual fit mask test prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 2 weeks of start, including marijuana
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required
• Flu seasonal vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); unvaccinated candidates must wear a mask on shift
• COVID vaccine or facility declination required with facility approval
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination with documentation; booster required if titer negative
• Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination with documentation
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination with documentation; booster required if titer negative

Additional Notes

• Floating may be required within the scope of practice
• No call responsibilities
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific compliance and safety protocols
• Religious and medical COVID exemption forms are available but require committee approval
