Description
Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist
Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Job Summary
Seeking a Radiation Therapist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology. This is a travel contract position with day shifts. First-time travelers are accepted. The role may require floating between similar units.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for Therapy) certification
Additional Information
- Floating: May be required to float to other similar units or facilities within reasonable distance
- Scheduling: Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: Free parking on first day; assigned parking provided during orientation
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Compliance and Training Requirements
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Radiology/Radiation Therapy
- Facility-specific orientation and compliance training
- Epic training modules completion required prior to or shortly after start
- Adherence to facility float policy acknowledgment

- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
- Candidates must have all required licenses and certifications valid for California.
- Background checks and health documents must be current and compliant with state and facility requirements.
- Physical and health clearances must be completed before start date.
- Floating between units is expected; flexibility is important.
