Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location: Wheeling, West Virginia
Specialty: Endoscopy (GI Lab)

Job Details

• Unit: Endoscopy / GI Lab
• Typical Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call Requirements:

  • Weeknights: Approximately 3 days per month to finish cases
  • Weekends: 1 weekend per month on call, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (may vary with nursing rotation)
  • Holidays: On call, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Call response time: 30 minutes (usually flexible)
• Scheduling: No self-scheduling or block scheduling; uses a number system to manage case completion
• Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Dress Code: Scrubs

Responsibilities

• Intra-operative circulation nurse (no sedation)
• Support common endoscopy procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, and hemorrhoid banding
• Work alongside surgical techs (no respiratory therapy equipment involved)
• Maintain a ratio of 1 RN per room (5 suites total)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA)
• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment
• Valid driver’s license required at time of submission
• Prior experience in endoscopy nursing preferred
• Knowledge of Epic electronic health record system is a plus

• No floating requirements
• No charge nurse or house supervisor role included
• Must be able to work within a 50-mile radius rule
