Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) - Temporary Position

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Independently or in consultation with a physician, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing related to the cardio-pulmonary system.
• Respond to arrest and emergency situations, providing CPR and life support.
• Perform respiratory care evaluations and treatments according to protocols.
• Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
• Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and performing cardiac compressions.
• Set up and maintain oxygen therapy according to protocol.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist license.
• Active American Heart Association certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to respiratory therapy.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel work experience preferred.

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work night shifts.
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility will not be considered.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic.
• The facility provides a broad range of primary and specialty care services, including 24-hour emergency and Level II trauma care.

This position requires a highly skilled respiratory therapist capable of responding quickly in emergency situations and delivering comprehensive respiratory care.
