Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Lamar, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will provide direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and care for the newborn. Responsibilities include:

Performing assessments and monitoring labor progress
Preparing for C-sections and inductions
Administering care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including infant care
Providing patient education and emotional support
Preparing delivery rooms and coordinating transfers
Administering IV medications
Adhering to infection control principles and OB department policies

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 4 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Working Conditions

Full-time, 36 hours per week
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
May require shift and area rotation based on staffing and census
On-call duties required
Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, heavy lifting, and exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases
