Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: West Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
• Shift: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Start Date: ASAP
• On-Call: Yes, including some weekends
• Call Hours: Required
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Locals: Not accepted
• Time Off Restrictions: Evaluated case by case

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (higher value overrides any lower stated)
• Competency with Philips Azurion and Siemens equipment platforms
• Competency in Ultrasound for arterial/venous access
• Skilled in procedures including but not limited to:

  • Stroke thrombectomy
  • Embolization
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Fistulagram
  • Arteriogram with intervention
  • Venogram with intervention
  • Dialysis and venous access
  • Y90 treatment
  • Chest port placement
  • Nephrostomy tube placement
  • Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiography (PTC)
  • Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) placement
  • Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
• Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• Current ARRT (R) certification
• RT (R) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Must have a current, valid license to practice in South Carolina (pending licenses not accepted)

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other standard verifications
• Proof of education and licensure primary source verification
• Health documents including physical exam, TB testing, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella), drug screening, and COVID vaccination or approved exemption
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams
• Submission of a photo on a plain background prior to start
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references required

• Weekend and call hours are mandatory
• Prior travel experience is not required
• The position requires competency in advanced interventional radiology procedures and use of specialized imaging equipment
• Time off requests will be reviewed individually
