Description
Respiratory Therapist - Contract
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Assess patients with breathing issues through examinations, blood/sputum analysis, and lung capacity tests.
- Administer treatments including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy to improve breathing.
- Manage, set up, and operate mechanical ventilators for patients unable to breathe independently.
- Provide emergency care such as artificial respiration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Document patient records, collaborate with physicians on treatment plans, and assist with discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and use of home respiratory equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
