Registered Nurse (RN) - Combined Procedural Unit

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Key duties include:

Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs
Identifying patient needs and prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Developing and coordinating individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments
Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care
Documenting care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
Advocating for evidence-based practice and supporting innovations in care delivery
Providing patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care, pre-op, and Recovery/PACU (Post Anesthesia Care), including experience within the last year
Strong background in Telemetry with Telemetry experience
Experience in acute care and acute hospital settings (minimum 1 year)
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience and ability to work in ICU
PACU or ICU trained

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing required

Certifications & Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
