Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Facility Overview

Behavioral Health Unit with 12 beds
Trauma Level III facility
Patient ratio: 1:6
Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
Float requirements: May be required to float to Medical-Surgical unit if needed
Weekend hours: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: None

Job Description

Provide psychiatric nursing care on the Behavioral Health Unit
Common diagnoses include Alzheimer’s, behavioral disturbances, failure to thrive, depression, and suicidal ideation
Team-oriented work environment
Preferred experience includes geriatric psychiatric nursing and medical floor experience

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) or Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC)

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Scrub color: Any color acceptable
No specific call requirements
Local candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as travel
