    Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

    Location: Tarzana, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

    Job Summary

    Seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience to join a hospital setting. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.


    Required Qualifications

    • License: California Physical Therapist license required (no pending licenses accepted)
    • Certifications:
      • BLS preferred (Basic Life Support)
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience in acute care
    • First-timers: Not accepted (prior travel experience required)
    • Other:
      • Must include Return to Office (RTO) restrictions at time of submission
      • Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

    Required Documentation & Compliance

    • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
    • Drug screen: 10 panel within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and health documents including:
      • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use, medically cleared annually
    • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment

    Required Training & Competencies

    • Completion of facility and specialty-specific competency exams as applicable
    • Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
      • Annual regulatory requirements
      • Specialty-specific modules for acute care/therapy roles
      • Regional core and specialty-specific training modules
    • Fire Card certification required (must be obtained prior to or within 30 days of start)
    • Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and facility requirements (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Certification) — verify as applicable

    Additional Notes

    • Float Policy: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within a reasonable distance
    • Facility guarantees hours but may call off once per two-week pay period
    • Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • All documentation and certifications must be current and compliant with facility and state regulations
